Do you need a car seat and base for a 3 month old on vacation?
|
Natalie G.
If you’ll be driving you’ll need a car seat but not necessarily a base. You can use many car seats without the base but it needs to be equipped with a European Belt Path which allows you to install your car seat with a seat belt. |

Kristina Hi Natalie, thanks for responding. We have the Chico keyfit. Aside from the car seat being important for car travel, do you think a car seat is necessary for the plane or a vacation where you are primarily at one resort and not really driving, apart from getting from airport to hotel? Thanks! |

Hi Kristina, the Chico Keyfit can be used without the base! You will not need to use the car seat on the airplane and it can be checked at the gate (most airlines check for free). While some people choose not to use a car seat from the airport to their resort, it's a personal choice but not one that I can recommend. If you will be renting a car and do not want to travel with your car seat, another option is to rent a car seat with your rental car. |
Are there any special tips, tricks, or gear for beating jet lag with a 7 Month Old?
|
Natalie G.
A sleep specialist would be able to speak more on tips and tricks for jet lag. As far as gear, I recommend bringing along anything that will help your child sleep as best as possible while away! |
While out and about on vacation do you bring bottles of breast milk if you can’t nurse in the diaper bag? In a cooler? Do you need to heat it up before serving? Is there a better way?
|
Natalie G.
In order to carry bottled breast milk, it needs to be kept cool. This insulated bottle bag from Skip Hop holds 2 bottles and keeps them cool for up to four hours. |
