My son still is sleeping wonderfully during the day and about 10-11 hour stretches at night. Last couple mornings he’s been up at 4a and went in and out of sleep but never a good stretch. Playing, whining, tossing and turning. He may be teething or
Maybe just tired still from the day before. I planned to try and get him in bed earlier today to see if that helped... I’m sure he’ll learn to stretch it out - but any pointers other than patience? Thank you in advance!

Hi Megha! If you are putting him in bed early, it may be time to gradually shift bedtime a bit later by 10 min a day and see if that helps! |

Megha Ya? I just assumed he’s overtired! He’s sooooo cranky and exhausted at 6p when we put him down and goes right to sleep. I can try for for 6:15p tonight :) |

I was assuming he’s still going to bed earlier than that- in that case get him off to bed earlier, before he’s exhausted. |

Megha Got it! I’ll shoot for 5:45p tonight. |
My lo just started sleeping in his own crib. While I should be happy that all the work we've put in is finally paying off, I feel incredibly guilty about leaving him alone. How often would you recommend checking in on him?

Hi Hannah! There really is nothing you have to feel guilty about. I would recommend to check on him as little as possible because it can be disruptive to his sleep. Have you thought about using a video monitor? I find them to be very useful. |
My goal is to get on some semblance of a schedule in the new year. Would a pre-bed routine be a good place to start?

Hi Karla! A bedtime routine is always a good thing to have, because it provides a cue for the child that it's bedtime soon. It doesn't have to be long or elaborate, it is only important that you repeat the same steps each time! |
