Hi. My daughter is 8w1d old and has been fighting her naps tooth and nail for about 5 days now. She usually does okay at night, a 4-4.5 hour stretch and then a 2.5-3 hour stretch, but naps have become impossible. It started with her beginning to do one really long nap (2-2.5hr) in the morning and then struggling with afternoon naps, but now it's all naps. She falls asleep, but wakes up 5 min later. And it's not like she's happy in between. I can tell she's tired. She's only getting 10-12 hrs total a day. I was planning to try to get her on a routine starting at 8 weeks, but now I'm desperate to get her to nap any way possible. I know I'm developing bad habits as a result (nursing her to sleep). Fyi: So for she has a hard time with bottles and doesn't like any of the 4 different pacis we've tried (exept for three times she seemed to love it for an hour or so). Btw:? I also just sent this in a message, but since I saw the q&a pop up...)

My comment to Carrie was that I believe her baby may have reflux and I recommended that she speak with the pediatrician. Does your baby have reflux, Britt? |

Carrie Britt, I'm sorry you're going through this too, but I'll admit, it's nice to know I'm not the only one. |

Carrie I just left a message for the doc. I looked up the symptoms again and it really does sound like her. Silent reflux mostly. I didn't realize frequent hiccups were a symptom. |
