While breastfeeding my 5 week old the last few weeks on occasion there is a feeling of a prickly sensation inside the breast, opening up feeling inside, and most painfully is sort of a shooting snap that goes from my back to the front of the breast. Are these normal sensations? He’s been cluster feeding a lot since 2 weeks old.

Hi Jessie, thanks for reaching out! Yikes that sounds painful! This is not normal, and I recommend that you check with an IBCLC in your area or with your OB, as it sounds like you could have yeast. |
I have what looks like an open cut on my nipple. Its not bleeding but it's very painful when nursing. What can i do to help it?
