I can’t seem to increase my supply past 2-3 oz every pumping session. I’ve been drinking my water breast feeding pumping taking vitamins supplements and teas and I can’t seem to pump extra supply to save. What else can I do?

Yarly Yes I’m breastfeeding mainly at night time and early morning. I will be going back to work soon. When I breast feed and I wait 30 minutes to an hour after to pump but don’t get a lot so I pump mainly in the afternoon and bottle feed it to my baby once she hungry. |

Hi Yarly, if you can add in some breastfeedings during the day, that could help a lot. Feeding more is the best way to produce more milk. And continue with the vitamins, tea, and water. |
Help! I came down with a bad cold last week. Can I continue nursing my 4-month-old? Am I exposing her to a ton of nasty germs?

Hi Julia, |
I'm heading back to work the week after next. Should I have been pumping weeks ago? Is it too late to start now?

Hi Kayli, it's definitely not too late to start pumping! You have plenty of time! |
I pump exclusively now and I never had a problem storing up milk and saving it. Now I don't make enough to feed his growing appetite and my stored up milk is almost gone. I have been trying different foods to boost my supply and nothing, please help?

Hi Hannah, |
Hi,
My lo has recently started putting his hand in his mouth while breastfeeding. I’ve noticed she’s been sucking on her hands a lot more and while breastfeeding will shove her fist in her mouth. This has just started in the past week or so. I’m just wondering what is going on and if there’s anything I can do to prevent this while I’m feeding her; she’s also started to become more aware and is unlatching while I’m trying to feed her because she’s looking around at everything. Thanks for the help!

Hi Courtney, it sounds like she is exploring and enjoying her world. Try to feed her when she's drowsy, and in a quiet, boring room. Sing or talk quietly to her so that she will focus on your face while nursing. Try to keep her hand occupied with your own fingers. This is very likely to be a short term, temporary phase and she'll get right back to business. Keep up the good work! |
