Introducing the only 100% online, watch-at-your-own-pace course that truly prepares you for childbirth - from leading up to labor through postpartum recovery.
Learn about what to expect during your final weeks of pregnancy - what you might be feeling, what’s normal and what’s not, how to prepare for birth both physically and mentally, and how to advocate for your birth preferences.
Wondering what really happens when your body goes through labor? A little confused by the meaning of terms such as “effacement” and “dilation”? Before we dive into the labor experience, we’ll review some basic female anatomy and help you understand what your body is doing before and during labor.
Learn everything you need to know about “the main event”: what it’s actually like to go into labor, a step-by-step walkthrough of the phases (and what they feel like), baby positioning, and a full overview of ALL the different ways labor can go -- including cesarean births.
Your complete guide to the different ways to manage pain -- get an insider’s look at various relaxation techniques, labor positions, and medications out there, and how your partner can support you throughout the experience.
Learn exactly what to expect in the first few hours after your baby arrives, including your baby’s physical appearance, common newborn vaccines and assessments, and prepare you for some important decisions you’ll need to make upon your baby’s arrival.
Here we will prepare you for all the physical and emotional changes that often surprise parents in the postpartum period. Know what to expect, get pro-tips and tricks for recovery and healing, and learn how others can support you during this important time.
So, what does “expert” really mean? We only offer classes and consultations that are led by professionally certified individuals with top accreditations. Together, our instructors have helped thousands of parents combined.
As fellow parents, we get it. Life is busy. So, once you start, you and your partner can learn from the comfort of your favorite spot, take breaks, and refer back for up to 2 years.
Sometimes we have clarifying questions. Instead of getting lost in a sea of endless internet research, take a course and join a private Q&A forum that is moderated by experts. Connect and learn in a safe space — sans spam.
Tinyhood’s labor and birth class is extremely instrumental to first time moms. They cover everything from Braxton Hicks to postpartum care. Truthfully I’m mostly scared of giving birth but after watching these videos I feel more confident and understand that my body was made for this. I was full of anxiety and dread and now I can’t wait to meet my little babe! Take this course if you feel anxious about birth like me.
It encompasses a wide range of information, but it isn't overwhelming. Many pregnancy and parenting information sources have an obvious agenda, but this course was great at providing information parents can use to make decisions that suit them and their family best.
What a comprehensive course! Was planning on watching over the course of a few days, but ended up completing in one day. The host is clearly very knowledgeable and speaks with personal experience which gives extra assurance you are learning from a pro! Can't recommend this course enough!
The course helped me feel a lot more confident about what's to come — and better able to advocate for myself and the type of birth experience I hope to have. Taking the course was a fairly quick and easy experience, given that I could start and stop it as I wished, spreading it over multiple days.
My husband and I had so many of our questions answered and it really put to ease many of our anxieties.
Great content. Most of the first section is not new to us as we have read about most of this material. I appreciate the short, titled segments allowing us to jump around to the most relevant information.
I enjoyed how detailed and diverse the handouts and videos were. And as a new and expecting mom, I appreciate the simplicity of this course. It's made me think about things I never knew I should think about!
Great overview of the things to expect leading up to the birth, during the birth and after.
