Jewish Museum of Maryland

  1. The Jewish Museum of Maryland is the leading museum of regional Jewish history, culture, and community, with special attention to the Jewish life in the state of Maryland. The museum campus includes the historic Lloyd Street (1845) and B’nai Israel (1876) Synagogues located in the heart of a historic Jewish neighborhood. Guided tours of the restored synagogues are available. The modern museum building offers changing exhibition galleries that include art work, historical photographs, clothing, ceremonial items, rare books, documents, and various memorabilia symbolizing the saga of Jewish life in Maryland. The museum also maintains program areas, a research library, museum shop, and meeting rooms.
