When should I send my birth announcement?

What should I include on my birth announcement?

Most families choose to include the baby’s name, as well as their birth details, like length, weight, and date of birth. Some families also like to include the time or location of birth.

Many people choose to simply include a photo of their baby, but you can also include a photo of you and your partner with the baby, your baby with an older sibling, or even a picture of your pets! At the end of the day, even though you will be sending this to friends and family, think about what YOU want to remember about this time and include that.

Do I have to hire a professional photographer?

Remember, you have plenty of time to send these out, so you can still hire someone. There are benefits to photographing a slightly older baby, too, especially if you want to snag a shot of them looking alert or even smiling!
