This class will introduce the foundation of music-based movement in a simple and playful way, all while developing listening and gross motor skills alongside associative play. Together, toddlers and caregivers will start class with warm up songs and stretches, after which they will follow along to a series of movement-based songs (including walking, hopping, stomping like a dinosaur and more) with shakers, tutus, tails and additional props. Weekly attendance helps children learn to follow directions and to interact with their peers. We end each class with a parachute game, bubbles, and a sticker. While primarily geared towards walking toddlers, sitting babies age 6 months + are welcome to join to observe and participate in any way they can (crawling, scooting, clapping, shaking maracas, popping bubbles, etc.) Adult Participation Required. While a teacher will be leading this class, caregivers are expected to attend and stay close to children for the duration as a partner in safety and learning. Recommended age range: 1 to 4 years.
