Rusty Patched Bumble Bees (Born 9/1/2019-8/31/2020)

Back To WCCA

Description

Every child in the WCCA falls into a specific Age Group based on his/her birth date. The age range follows the school cut-off dates, September 1– August 31, rather than the calendar year. Age Groups consist of children from newborns through early elementary. Each Age Group has two Age Group Heads, who plan a variety of social, educational, and community service activities for children and caregivers to enjoy throughout the WCCA year.

  1. Age Group Head Volunteer Opportunity! Rusty Patched Bumble Bees

    Hello Rusty Bumble Bees!

We are looking for another mom to help as a second Age Group Head for the Rusty Patched Bumble Bees group. This is a volunteer position and really fun if you would like to get involved. If you are interested and want to learn more about this position please contact Noelle Hartshorn (noellemhartshorn@gmail.com) or Ashley Boer (Ashley.boer@yahoo.com)

  2. Welcome Rusty Patched Bumble Bees!

Welcome Rusty Patched Bumble Bees! Amanda and I want to introduce ourselves and welcome any new Bumble Bee members to our group and welcome back everyone else. We are super excited to plan fun events for this age group every month. There is a technical problem with our event page right now but it will be back and running soon enough. For now, our September and October events are listed below. We also have a private facebook group (WCCA Rusty Patch Bumble Bees) that we will post on and members can too. Please join this group if you haven't. Also, please feel free to reach out to us at anytime with any questions you may have.

Enjoy the end of the summer! We can't wait to see everyone at our upcoming events!

  4. Preschool through Weston Rec

I am signing up my almost 3 year old for the new Tot Toy Box Drop off at the Weston Rec center (on Sep 7th). Its 2 days a week for 2.5 hours each time and runs like a mini preschool for a few months. You can sign up for all the 2 week sessions and cancel 5 days before if you don't like it.

Would love some fellow WCCA families to join with us!

  5. Connecting in the time of covid?

    Hello all!
My Bee was born just last week- one of the youngest in the group! We moved to Weston last fall from Jamaica Plain. During my prior two maternity leaves I was fortunate enough to connect with neighbors with babies born in the same month or so- of course with Covid that’s tricky. But if anyone else is living that newborn cluster feeding life and would like a middle of the night text buddy, please let me know... Or maybe in a couple of weeks we could do a socially distant stroller walk?

Looking forward to connecting with you all.
