Hi! My husband and I are looking for a wonderful nanny to join our family for our 9-month old daughter. We’re really hoping to find someone who is interested in a long-term position and would like to grow with our family over time. The role is guaranteed 40 hours per week Monday-Friday generally around 8/8:30am-5/5:30pm. (Occasional flexibility to provide additional hours on a weekend with plenty of advance notice would be a plus)
We are looking for someone who is mature, experienced, loving, responsible, organized and trustworthy. Our top priority is finding someone who is warm and engaging who enjoys supporting our daughter's development—both through age-appropriate activities at home and by getting out and about as she continues to grow (library, children’s museum, playgrounds with other kids, etc.). We’d also appreciate help with light household tasks related to our daughter and family, like basic tidying, vacuuming, laundry, and helping with simple meal prep.
We live in an old brownstone, so the nanny must be able to walk up 3 flights of stairs with our daughter and the diaper bag, etc. (We do keep the stroller downstairs) Pediatric/CPR certification is required. Non-smoker and dog friendly! (We have a small Labrador Retriever)

🛋️ The apartment is sunny, with a south-facing living room, floor-to-ceiling windows, a balcony, and a quiet environment. It has a playpen, pack and play, exauser, ball pit, wooden walker, and many VTech and Love Every toys.

I highly recommend our wonderful nanny Sabine, who will be available early March 2026 as our son will be transitioning to daycare. Sabine has been a cornerstone of our family for 4 years, and any family would be lucky to have her.
She is a true career nanny with initial daycare experience followed by more than 15 years of private nannying. She is a pro at balancing multiple children’s needs and successfully nannied a share for my daughter (6mo-2.2yrs, with a child the same age). We were lucky enough to have her again for a second share for my son (6mo-1.5yrs, with a child 6 months older).
Sabine effortlessly establishes routines and troubleshoots feeding and sleep transitions. She even potty trained my daughter shortly after her 2nd birthday. She is always on the floor playing with the kids, finding local community events, and keeping the kids active and social. We trust her completely; she is loving, patient and dedicated. Kids flock to her, and we’ve frequently had strangers comment on the visible bond she has with my son.
Sabine is a US citizen and fluent English speaker with her own car. While she has a special heart for babies, she is open to discussing other opportunities. She is ideally looking for full-time work (but is open to part-time), in commuting distance from Melrose via car or T (Winchester, Arlington, Somerville, Belmont, Melrose, Medford, Reading, Woburn, Wakefield, Charlestown, West End, Back Bay, Stoneham, Malden, or similar).
