This is a Tinyhood public group for all parents living in Boston to connect and get advice from each other, plan playdates, request recommendations, as well as buy/sell/swap baby gear.
We’re seeking a reliable, warm, and experienced caregiver—especially well‑suited for a teacher or educator—to help with after‑school pickup and evening routine for our sweet 4‑year‑old son.
Schedule:
- Wednesdays–Fridays, approximately 5:00–7:00 or 8:00 PM
- Occasional Monday or Tuesday fill‑ins may be available with advance notice (completely optional)
Responsibilities:
- Pick up from school in Cambridge and transport home to Charlestown
- Dinner, bath, and bedtime routine
- Unpack backpack/artwork/lunch box
- Pack lunch for the following school day
Transportation:
- Ideally you have a car with an excellent driving record (car seat provided)
- If preferred, we’re happy to cover Uber transportation and provide a safety seatbelt for him
This is a great fit for:
- Teachers or educators looking for consistent, part‑time evening hours
- Someone who enjoys calm, structured routines after the school day

Hi there, my husband and I am looking for someone who is available to support us during school vacations as my son is in full-time private school downtown. Specifically, I am looking for someone to work a full week, March 16-20, and then again ongoing periodically during days off thereafter. I am also looking for this person to work the full month of August as school and camp is out and we both work full-time. Basically, I need a sidekick to help me and my husband when we are committed to be at work and school is not in session!! If you are flexible, and have time in the summer to work with us, our son is a delight and we would love to welcome you to our family. Our son is 2. 5 years old and very comfortable with 1:1 time having had a nanny for two years prior to starting school. We look forward to finding a new partner for our family!
I'm writing in regards to our long-time nanny Michelle who will be avaliable for a full time nanny position. She is a very special person. We felt like lottery winners when she came aboard.
Unfortunately, we are moving out of state and will no longer be able to employ her. We highly recommend Michelle to any family lucky enough to hire her. She was part of our lives for 3 years. We can only hope our next nanny can compare to her.
