Littlest Sailors at USS Constitution Museum

  1. Bring your littlest sailors along for songs, stories, and playtime at the USS Constitution Museum! Children ages 2-5 years and their accompanying adults are invited to join us from 10:00 -11:00 on Thursdays as we explore the following themes:

    January 18: Daily Life at Sea
    Is a sailor’s life for you? Discover the adventurous life of being a Constitution sailor in 1812 as your family works with numbers and shapes, and uses their imagination in our “All Hands on Deck” exhibit.

    February 1: Ship Shape
    Get a sneak peek into the Museum’s annual ship model show! Explore over 50 handcrafted models with your family and then make your own model boat to take home.

    February 15: Animals Aboard Ship
    Introduce your family to the many animals who lived on Constitution! Sing a song about Constitution’s fuzziest sailor, Guerriere the Terrier, engage in creative puppet play, and search the museum for animals of all shapes and sizes.

    March 1: Dressed to Impress
    Are you dressed to impress? Explore the clothing worn by ordinary sailors and officers on Constitution in 1812 while learning about texture, color, the difference between these two naval ranks.

    $8 per child with one accompanying adult. Admission by donation for any siblings under 12 months.
