Pumpkin Theatre

  1. Founded in 1967 by Sister Kathleen Marie Engers as a project of the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore, Pumpkin Theatre’s mission is “to entertain, educate and engage children and families through the plays we produce and the drama classes we offer”. In 1982 the organization moved off campus and received its non-profit status. Pumpkin provides programming primarily to Baltimore City and Baltimore County but also reaches a substantial number of residents in Carroll County. The main targeted demographic is families with children as most productions target an audience range of 3 to 10 years of age, the productions, however, are not only for the young, but young-at-heart. Pumpkin believes children’s theater should be enjoyable to all – regardless of age.
