This is a group for parents to ask questions and gain support about all things related to Baby-Led Weaning.
We have been taking a BLW approach since my daughter was 6 months old but I don't feel like she is really eating all that much food. More playing with it... is this typical at this stage? Anything I can do to encourage her to eat more?

Baby-led weaning is a common-sense, safe, easy and enjoyable approach to feeding your baby.
Is baby led weaning all or nothing? My baby is almost 7 months and has only had purees so far. I have been nervous to give her any actual chunks of food because I thought it may be safer if she was a little older. Can I start now? What should I start with? She seems to get bored with purees, whether she eats a jar or not is very hit or miss, but she absolutely loves it when I give her pieces of soft fruit in a mesh holder to suck on. Does that possibility count as baby led weaning? Thanks in advance!
