ORPP

Description

Our Mission: To enrich the lives of preschoolers and their families in the Oyster River School District.

Oyster River Parents and Preschoolers (ORPP) is a 501(c)3 non-profit preschooler activity group open to all families in the Oyster River School District (the towns of Durham, Madbury, and Lee), with at least one child not yet in kindergarten. Throughout the school year, our members organize free or low-cost events and activities for children (ages infancy to kindergarten) on weekdays, parent gatherings in the evenings, and family get-togethers on the weekends. Members volunteer their time, homes, and knowledge to introduce children and families to the Oyster River area and beyond. We contribute to the greater community through service activities directed by our members.

By providing social and educational activities throughout the year, we build lasting bonds of friendship for our children, a sense of community and belonging, and a support network for the entire family.

Each month ORPP provides:

• Free young children’s activities
• Family fun events at local venues
• Parents’ night out
• Local farm, university & community tours
• Arts & crafts
• Service opportunities
• E-newsletter & event calendar

To join ORPP your family must live in the Oyster River School District (the towns of Durham, Madbury, and Lee), with at least one child not yet in kindergarten. Choose "General Membership" to register. Registration is $30/year, financial assistance is available by contacting the ORPP Board at orppnh.board@gmail.com.
